In Memoriam
After a brief but intensive fight against colon cancer,
Sherle passed away November 7, 2006.
C & S Collectibles was first formed in 1993 in Orange County by Sherle
and Claude Hartman. Its primary purpose and that of our web site is to be an
outlet for the Disney collections gathered by Sherle. We are no longer buying
items. Sherle began collecting Disney items in the late 1980’s. She has had a
special interest in ceramics and Snow White and Winnie the Pooh characters.
Living near Disneyland, she got an annual pass and made many purchases at
special events. As a member of the National Fantasy Fan Club (NFFC), Sherle enjoyed
conventions and shows near Disneyland. In 1993 she decided to offer some of her
items for sale at the NFFC convention. She continued to sell at the winter and
summer conventions from 1993 to her retirement in 2001. Moving to Arroyo
Grande on the Central Coast of California, caused participation in the NFFC
shows to end and the web site was started. Claude collected elongated coins during these years of visiting Disneyland
and occasionally Disney World. However, his main interests are in scientific or
technical antiques. In early 2005 we joined the eBay community. We will continue to offer
our customers the personal attention and care we have tried to offer at NFFC and
on this web site. We hope to reduce our collections and allow others to enjoy
them!
